Das Abendmahl in Hannover

Unexpected surprise! Staying at the Dormero hotel, and dying of fatigue, we crossed the street to eat at an Italian restaurant called "Das Abendmahl". Against all prejudice, the cuisine was truly Italian and of the highest quality. The pastas we ate were extraordinary, the tiramisu seemed Roman. And the attention ... Well: there are some waiters who pretend to be Italian, but if one goes beyond the obvious (grazie, prego), it shows that they do not understand anything. As they realized that the imposture was not going to happen, they sent us an extraordinary Calabrian girl, who recommended the best dishes. All, it must be said, were uncommonly friendly in Hannover.

Very nice restaurant. Totally nice owner. Would recommend the pasta and other dishes more than the pizza though. The pizza is not that good in my opinion, but the rest is really great. Pasta, meat and fish are incredibly delicious

The waiter advised us to take carpaccio for a starter, which was not on the menu. When the bill came, they charged us € 33 extra! (main dishes cost around € 10). It is sad that people earn money, by misleading customers.

We had an excellent dinner. The sole was a poem, as was the zabaglione. Thank you very much again for two wine glasses that are now in Cologne - where we actually come from and were only visiting Hanover - are a perfect advertisement for The Last Supper.

It is not possible for this shop to bring the ordered pizza to the second floor in the same apartment building, because the employee was probably alone in the restaurant. But offer a delivery service ... But it is possible to go back to the kitchen and blaspheme with my colleague that I am too lazy to pick up the pizza myself. My balcony is also on the back of the house and I heard every word. What a crappy service, what a crappy neighborhood!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and very nice staff. Not too crowded and well located. Definitely worth a visit.

We booked a table for a Valentines dinner. As you might guess, we expected a romantic atmosphere, tasty food and good service. The first and the last part is where this restaurant missed big. Table that was given to us had shabby seats with tears in the covers, bench on which I sat had a hole from all the previous customers who had a chance to sit there too. Waitress who took our order looked like she is in hurry, scolded us for not explicitly saying as a first word that we want Häferweizen and not a beer, because according to her classification, Häferweizen is Häferweizen and not a beer. We ordered stakes and didn’t proactively mention which sides we want. Waitress didn’t bother asking us either. When she brought us our 25 euro stakes with a side dish of potatoes I politely asked her to change my side to a salad, which was also offered on a menu and she refused to do it, because now it’s my problem that I didn’t mention it at the very beginning. I commented it by saying that she didn’t ask what I wanted as a side dish, on which I received a reply that if I don’t mention it, she will do an order automatically with potatoes as a side dish. Please explain to me, since when 25 Euro stake became a McDonalds automated version? Totally disappointed with the service, ambience of the restaurant and attitude of the personal! Never coming here again to spend my money!

Very good food . Typical Italian and of very good quality. We have to highlight the very well-stocked wine list. The service (cartridge and mom) are very friendly and make every effort to ensure that nothing is missing. Nothing works here on the weekend without a reservation.

Great Italian food and good service

The very last shop I would eat in! First, you wait forever for his ordered food (1,5h for a steak with noodles - after all, scarce 25 €), then comes gradually to the table ... meat and side dishes are served separately ... until everything is there , the rest is cold. if you say something then you will be treated like the last person instead of being apologized as normal. And what makes the whole thing the crown is that you then except in the bill is still out ... should suddenly pay 15 € for a wine that should cost on request when ordering even 5.50 €! Not really recommendable and unfriendly until last!

We were very satisfied, both with the food and with the service! Appetizers (soups) came quickly and were delicious, the pasta dishes to the main course hot and very tasty. The size of the portions we found just right. Thank you for that, we will gladly come again!

Middle class type of Italian restaurant,milestone soup that I tried is a standard one.Cheese plate was not nice. Sicilia macaroni was one star above the standard,tiramisu with orange was so perfect,staff is welcoming but they can not speak english very well

We attend the fair in Hannover every year during January and this restaraunt has in the past been a favourite but it has gone downhill. On previous occasions booking was essential but this is no longer the case and it's not surprising. Our meal was oversalted, and we love salt! Steak was undercooked - we ordered medium rare and it was rare so had to send it back.Ordered fish they delivered lamb so had to wait for fish. Fish and vegetables barely edible given quantity of salt. Staff were OK and agreed that steak was undercooked and fish and vegetables oversalted but didn't compensate. Very expensive meal given it was inedible.Would not recommend this restaraunt. Pity it has gone downhill used to be highly recommendable but unfortunately no longer.
